Sunday River Ski Resort To Host Gay/Lesbian Weekend

Newry, MAINE (January 2011) - In collaboration with OutRyders, New England's premier GLBT ski and snowboard club, Sunday River Ski Resort will host White Out Weekend, February 10-13, 2011-three days dedicated to the gay and lesbian community.

The weekend features "drag" races where skiers and riders can showcase their divine selves, apr�s rendezvous get-togethers, an '80s dance party, and an Angels and Demons party with Provincetown's DJ Maryalice at The Peak Lodge.

Other activities over the weekend include 12-Hour Skiing/Riding on Friday and Saturday; Zipline Tours; and fireworks.

Special lodging rates at the Grand Summit Resort Hotel and the Jordan Grand Resort Hotel begin at $149 and include slopeside lodging, lift tickets, free daily adult ski or snowboard clinics, and free breakfast daily. Both hotels boast full spas that offer sports massages and couples treatments as well as fitness centers, outdoor heated pools and hot tubs, and signature Boyne bed and linen packages for superior comfort at the end of the day.
